Moon & Lola Jewelry now at Wanderlust!

I'm so pleased to announce that Wanderlust is now carrying the Moon & Lola jewelry line!  Moon & Lola has been featured in magazines such as Lucky, Southern Living, O Magazine, and many more.

One of the most popular styles from M&L is the cutout monogram necklace, as shown above.  Available in sterling or gold filled, these lovelies make an awesome gift for the gal that's about to tie the knot!

The acrylic monogram options, like the pink one here, come in 23 different colors.  LOVE these!

In addition to the monogram necklaces, there are also other fun pieces.  Moon & Lola truly keeps things current, so look for new pieces every few months!

Travel Boards on Pinterest

If you've been dreaming about a vacation getaway, I've been hard at work pinning some great places for you to visit!

If California is on your list, visit my Destination: California board.
Saguaro Hotel, Palm Beach

Maybe a trip east is more convenient or affordable for you...if so, visit Destination: Florida.
Gulf Islands National Seashore

And my newest board, also on the east coast, Destination: the Carolinas
Morris Island Lighthouse in SC
These boards are a work-in-progress, and I will be updating each regularly.  I'm sure I'll also be adding new destinations in the future!  Have an idea for a travel board?  Let me know!

Butt Naked in the Afternoon!

Last year, at our local farmer's market, I picked up a solid lotion in a tin from one of the vendors.  That lotion was called Butt Naked in the Afternoon, made by Goatie Girls, and has turned out to be one of my most loved beauty rituals.

This lotion is absolutely awesome for cuticles and dry skin, and comes in a round 2 oz. tin that lasts forever!  It's made locally in Arkansas from mango butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, beeswax, and fragrance oil.  I keep it in my nightstand and use it every single night on my cuticles and heels - it really is amazing stuff!

The best part?...It's now available on Wanderlust!  Get yours here!

have wanderlust, will travel

I've been to Vegas many times, but I'm so excited about our trip there this summer! Two years ago, we did the Vegas/Cali trip and I'm so ready to do it again!  Last time, we drove up Hwy 1 to Monterey.  That was the most beautiful drive ever.

Bixby Bridge, Hwy 1

After staying the night in Carmel, we made our way back down the highway and to Laguna Beach.  The farthest south we went was Dana Point.  This time, I want to see some new things.  I'm not sure if we're going to go to San Francisco or try to go to San Diego.  I really want to see La Jolla.  And the Hotel del Coronado.  And the Rose Bowl flea market.  :)

travel inspiration: the Inn Boonsboro

I recently finished reading Nora Roberts' The Next Always.  It was absolutely wonderful, and is the inspiration for this edition of "travel inspiration".

The book is the first in a trilogy set in Boonsboro, MD.  It revolves around three brothers and 3 women friends (very convenient, considering it's a trilogy, don't-ya-think?).  I will tell you nothing more, other than the fact that the brothers are in the middle of restoring an old historic building to well-deserved glory.  The building is to be the Inn Boonsboro, a unique hotel with each room bearing a name and theme.  I was thrilled when I found out the Inn is no work of fiction, and is actually owned by Nora Roberts herself!

All rooms, except one, are named for and inspired by literary couples.
Here's a quick sampling:

The Titania and Oberon room
(A Midsummer Night's Dream)

The Nick and Nora room
(The Thin Man)
the Jane and Rochester room
(Jane Eyre)
Each room has it's own unique feel, and even has its own scent!  Bath amenities are made specially for the Inn Boonsboro at Cedar Ridge Soaps.

While you're a guest at the Inn, you even have access to the kitchen.  There you will find complimentary coffee and soft drinks, in addition the the meals and snacks the innkeeper prepares.
The Kitchen
There's also a lounge, a library, and a patio area.

The Inn Boonsboro is on now on my must visit list.  Have you ever been?  If so, I'd love to hear about it!

All pictures of the Inn are from the Inn Boonsboro website.  You can get more info there and also on their Facebook page.

Countdown to Disney

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  We did, but now that it's over, we can officially begin the countdown to DISNEY WORLD!  Emmy and I leave in T minus 21 days!  And we're ridiculously a tad excited.

However, I'm beginning to fret a little bit over what to pack.  I mean, it's not as though we're going in the middle of summer and it's 100 degrees and all we need are shorts and tanks.  The highs will be around 72 (perfection), but the lows around 50 (not-so-much perfection).  Do we take our Uggs?  Tennis shoes, even though we're not really tennis shoe girls?  Shorts?  Capris?  Sweatshirts???  Rain ponchos????  EEK!

I read a fabulous little series called Keys to the Kingdom over on The Handmade Home.  It was full of awesome advice (though I still don't know what to wear), and if you're planning a trip to WDW soon, you should definitely check it out!

Want to know what I'm most excited about?  Here it is...

The last time I was at Disney, the Tower of Terror was still under construction at Hollywood Studios (then called Disney MGM Studios).  It loomed high up in the sky, full of sinister terror, yet it was not quite ready to ride.  My 12 year old heart was broken.  Now, 18 years later (double eek! Where does the time go??) , I'm beyond ready to finally experience it!!

And what is my 4 year old the most stoked about?
The Haunted Mansion.  And that is why I love her.

And where are we staying, you ask?  Here:
The Grand Floridian.  Another place I have wanted to experience since I was 12.

Okay, enough bragging for one day.  ;)

If you have any tips or tricks that you would like to pass along, please leave a comment!  It would be much appreciated!

antique store score!

I have to share what I found at the local antique store yesterday!

I know they're not exactly the greatest right now, but I'm so excited to work some magic on these and transform them into something grand!
I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do yet, but I can't wait to get started!
